The Therien Foundation is a nonprofit organization with a heartfelt mission: to provide critical support and resources for individuals and families struggling with mental health and addiction. Founded by the Therien family, this cause is deeply personal—Chris Therien, a former Philadelphia Flyers player, is approaching 13 years of sobriety, and his journey has inspired the entire family to help others

facing similar challenges.

The family, rooted in South Jersey, has a strong legacy in sports, with all four children excelling as standout athletes. Isabella, Ava, and Alexa all played Division 1 basketball at Loyola Maryland while Christopher Jr. will continue his football career at Villanova University. At the Therien Foundation, we know that overcoming addiction and mental health struggles requires more than just willpower; it requires a strong network of support and access to essential resources. That’s why our foundation is committed to providing financial assistance for individuals seeking treatment. We help cover the costs of detox programs, rehabilitation centers, counseling services, and ongoing recovery support. We also assist families with the financial burden that often comes with addiction and mental health care, ensuring they can access the help they need without the added stress of financial strain.

Through our efforts, we aim to reconnect families, offering not only financial support but also emotional resources, guidance, and a sense of hope for those who are rebuilding their lives. Every dollar donated to the Therien Foundation goes directly to funding these life-saving programs, helping individuals take the steps they need to recover and get their lives back on track. We are dedicated to bringing families together, fostering healing, and building a legacy of hope and resilience that will last for generations.
